Biography

Hamide Küçükbodur designs small ceramic sculptures using hand-building techniques. She was born in Soma, Manisa, on January 27, 1986. Her connection with art began in childhood, without formal academic training. As a child, she loved making sculptures from sand and carried the pleasure of shaping and making with her over the years. Later, with a friend’s encouragement, she discovered ceramic clay. As she began shaping it, she realized that her childhood connection with sand had never disappeared. The enthusiastic response to her work encouraged her growing interest in ceramics and led her to continue making. Without formal art training, she developed through curiosity, observation, and experimentation. For her, ceramics is not simply a field of production, but a free form of expression through which she gives tangible shape to her feelings, imagination, and inner impulses.
