About the artist

İnci Kızılovalı works in watercolor and çini ceramics. Her paintings bring colorful surfaces together with black linear drawings.

Biography

Born in İzmir, İnci Kızılovalı graduated in ceramics, glass, and çini from Ege University. She spent many years as a manager at Mücahit Bora Art Center while also studying pencil drawing and watercolor. “Once I realized that watercolor was the best way to express my feelings, I focused professionally on painting,” she explains. She has participated in exhibitions in Türkiye and abroad with both çini and watercolor works. Alongside the main subject in her paintings, she includes a black vector-style drawing. While the watercolor speaks through light, color, and emotion, the contrasting black-and-white drawing reveals the same subject’s essence and form, inviting the viewer on an imaginative journey.
