Biography

Born in Rize, Niğmet Canbaz is 24 years old. She studied graphic design and photography at high school and is a fourth-year student in the Painting Department of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Her artistic practice focuses on female identity, feminism, the relationship between figure and space, and the concept of reproduction. Reconsidering traditional images in contemporary contexts, she creates works about womanhood, social roles, and the individual’s relationship with space.
