Biography

Pınar Canbaz makes strong use of symbolism and icons, particularly in depictions of the relationships between nature, people, and animals. Born in İzmir in 1999, she graduated from Dokuz Eylül University. Working primarily in painting, she explores the relationships between color, form, and composition. She investigates the invisible bond between people and nature, combining portraits with animal figures to address instinct, strength, freedom, and vulnerability through a symbolic language. Each work carries traces of her emotions, the music she listens to, and her personal experiences. For her, painting is more than making an image: it is a form of expression that invites viewers to reconnect with their inner world and with nature.
